I love to do hair and I am as passionate about it as I am about being a host on IN the Loop.  I decided to go to school for hair and makeup because I love to help other people feel beautiful and great about themselves, as well as being creative, expressive and to encourage everyone I meet to be the style they want to be.  Is that too much?  I’ll try again. I love to do hair, and I’m very passionate about it. I love to be able to create something that makes someone else happy. And being able to exemplify emotions and art through hair and beauty.  Yes.  This is going to be that kind of “a look inside of Jade” blog.

I was asked the other day on set what drives me to changing my hair frequently, why I always look so polished and how to use my secrets on their own hair.  I love to do hair and make up.  That was my only real answer.  That is it in a nutshell, but the producers of IN the Loop thought it would be a good idea to give viewers and my fellow loopers a look inside of Jaded Salon and Spa.  When it came time to sit down and write about the experience, I was unable to describe my salon and more wanted you to know about me and they type of stylist I am.

I’m the type of person to cheer someone up if they’re having a bad day or just to make others laugh, because i believe everyone should be happy every day. But doing hair goes much deeper than the aesthetics aspect for me. Doing hair is more emotional and full of mental depth.

I see people pick and crucially critique themselves for not looking this perfect image that social media portrays is ideal. From growing up hearing those who are close to me not liking their body because they’re “too fat” or “not pretty enough”. To my own struggles of my physical appearance. Everyone has something they wish to change about themselves, and i wish to help them any way possible.

I want people to overcome these obstacles, and see what i see in them and others around them. The positive, someone who makes a difference in the world. Whether i show emphasis around someone’s big brown eyes to covering someone’s protruding forehead with fringe that they’re self-conscientious about. I am making a small physical difference in their life, which can actually have a big impact physically, mentally, and emotionally. To see someone else feel attractive, makes me feel good because i made a positive difference in their life.
